This is a super quick recipe that I have been making for a few years. It makes 12-15 ounces depending on the size of the apple and lemons.
Why these ingredients?
Lemons: They contain a high amount of vitamin C, soluble fiber, and plant compounds that give them a number of health benefits. Lemons may aid weight loss and reduce your risk of heart disease, anemia, kidney stones, digestive issues, and cancer. (healthline)
Turmeric: Turmeric and especially its most active compound curcumin have many scientifically-proven health benefits, such as the potential to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis. (healthline)
Ginger: It Contains anti-inflammatory compounds that function in the same way as COX-2 inhibitors. COX-2 inhibitors are drugs used to treat pain and inflammation among many other benefits with digestion, lowers blood sugar, significantly reduce menstrual pain. (healthline)
Black Pepper: Black pepper contains the bioactive compound piperine, which is an alkaloid like capsaicin, the active component found in chili powder and cayenne pepper. Piperine has been shown to help relieve nausea, headaches and poor digestion and also has anti-inflammatory properties. (healthline)
Research supports that combining the piperine in black pepper with the curcumin in turmeric enhances curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%

I hope you enjoy adding this recipe to your life. It has greatly improved my immune system and inflammation. When I go through periods of not taking it, I can feel my joints causing more problems and they remind me that if I don’t want higher medication doses I have to do this to help myself with the inflammation.
I’d love to hear if you try it and how you like it.
